Congratulations go out to Eoin Larkin and Tom Powell of the Sacred Heart Ventures who successfully completed this years Explorer Belt.

The event saw 16 teams from all over the country take part in a 10 day, 200km walk in Portugal. Along the way the teams had to complete projects and challenges on a limited budget and document everything in log books – in the summer heat and despite the language barrier.

The event is not a competition between the teams, but instead a case of successfully completeing it or not. The team took part in training weekends carried out by the National Venture Team in the months before the event as well as doing some multiday hikes of their own. For their efforts they were rewarded with the coveted Explorer Belt.
